Cultivating the land, forming disciples
Through gardening and practical work, we seek to cultivate the land, develop practical skills, encourage responsible stewardship and contribute to the wellbeing of our communities. The garden is also a place for us to make disciples through practical work.
The garden is not a side project. It is where practical skill, responsible stewardship and discipleship meet, with people working shoulder to shoulder, learning a trade and learning Christ at the same time.
The work is open to anyone willing to learn, whatever they can already do. Some come for the skill, some come for the fellowship, and most find that the two cannot easily be separated. If you would like to join a working day, tell us.

Work that forms people
Practical work develops skills, encourages responsible stewardship and contributes to the wellbeing of our communities, and it gives us hours together in which disciples are made.
You learn a great deal about a person while you are both working.

Nobody is above the small jobs
Washing up after a meal is not a lesser task than teaching. It is the same discipleship, done with different hands. Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.

Out on the land
Some of our best hours are spent outside, under the trees, with the work in front of us and the teaching in the middle of it. The garden is a classroom that does not look like one.
